It's finally spring and I have TONS of fresh ideas churning in my head for PDR, (I know, what's new, right?) But this is different. There is something very exciting on the horizon and I wish I could gush, but not quite yet. Luckily, Patrick has been über-amazing and listening to me ramble on every night about all my inspirations, hopes and dreams. Post-its and cookbooks are everywhere, it's nearly hazardous. One of those lovely messes though ← cop out. Hope you all are enjoying this gorgeous weather. More to come soon...

Mind-blowing. Click here to watch this beautiful moment caught on camera. On a side note - very perturbed I can't post video to my blog, thanks Moonfruit.

This morning, during my blog-browse + tea sesh, I was so delighted to find an instagram group completely devoted to our lovely city of Birmingham, Alabama. There are oodles of secret gems and gorgeous details in this area that frequently go overlooked - it's about time we collaborated and shared our fab finds. The group is called @instagrambham, and they also have a Facebook & Twitter page for those of you who haven't explored the realms of Instagram yet (you really should!) The photo above from Ryan Stricklin is of the Leer Tower (a beautiful building!) and my favorite so far, I can't wait to start adding my own as well. Point, click, & tag people!
Thanks Weld for sharing! Always love, love, love your articles!

Can you believe it's already a new year? Once September hit, everything became a holiday-frenzied blur and...*BAM* it's 2013. I'm ALREADY feeling like this year is going to fly by even faster, which makes me want to prepare just that much more.
Last year was phenomenal for PDR! Some highlights:
.kicked it off by updating our branding and launching the new website
.added over 100 designs to the collection
.started a Cookie of the Month Club
.introduced the new Guinness and Chocolate Recipes to the collection
.had consistent sales all year long
I couldn't have asked for a better year, and I want to keep that momentum running through 2013. Some goals include:
.creating a quick survey with a lovely prize to see what you guys love and what you'd like to see changed
.updating the website to make it faster and a little more user friendly
.implement new, "chicer" packaging
.lower the shipping on samples so we can offer them completely FREE
.branch out into a few farmers markets {perhaps with the help of a new hire... any takers???}
.stay ahead of the game on marketing - especially for the holidays
.introduce the new Stamped and Hand-Painted Collections
I'm very excited about working towards these goals and I hope to accomplish each one of them. Have any of you reviewed your past year and thought through what you'd like to do in 2013? Please share below, and if you have any advice... I'm always listening and über appreciative!
Cheers to the New Year!

ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR | FIVE | SIX
There is an infinite amount of aprons out there that come in every pattern, design, & color imaginable. One would think with such a selection it'd be easy to find one tastful enough & "you" enough to don around the holidays. Sadly, the market is flooded with kiddie colors and prints so busy they could kill an appetite. Here are a few fall-like exceptions that can add style tomorrow night while protecting your style at the same time.

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year to gather 'round with my nearest & dearest! Why? The fall colors are just starting to peak, the air is dry and crisp (a cherished rarity here in central Alabama!) and everyone is getting pumped up for the holidays!
Halloween, the first in line, is a little more than a week away! (Which reminds me, I need to get on those many finishing touches completed for this years Poison Ivy Costume - Eeek!)
As far a decorating is concerned, I have been on an incredibly strict yet fabulous neutral kick since New Years. Keepin' it classy with whites, ivories, tans, grays, and yes, BLACKS - which brings us to October. As much fun as all the oranges, reds, yellows, greens, and purples can bring to your Halloween Home, this year I was looking for striking simplicity. Elegantly haunting with touches of bone-chilling here and there. Above are a few of my fave Black Halloween finds! There's a healthy mix of buy & DIY, a little something for everyone. Enjoy!
